Johnston & Lakshman To Testify At Court Martial

UNP Parliamentarian Lakshman Seneviratne is ready to give evidence before the first Court Martial against Gen. Sarath Fonseka. Consumer Affairs Minister Johnston Fernando will also give evidence on General's alleged involvement in political work while in active service.

 

 

 

Minister Johnston Fernando is a former UNP member and he joined the government. Lakshman Seneviratne is a UNP MP of Badulla district. They will be the two key witnesses of the court martial hearing on July 12 to give evidence. 

 

Court Martial tribunal comprising Maj. Gen. Harsha Weeratunga, Maj. Gen. Lalith Wijetunga and Maj. Gen. Aruna Jayatilake issued summons on Johnston Fernando and Gamini Abeyratne and also issued summons on UNP MP Laksman Seneviratne to appear before court martial on July 12.
