No one had held bodhi poojas for the President SLFP Secretary’s request ignored

None of the SLFP electoral organizers had taken steps to organize events to invoke blessings on President Rajapaksa on June 7 when he completed 40 years in politics, even after the SLFP General Secretary Maithripala Sirisena had sent a written request to all electoral organizers to do so, sources from the SLFP headquarters said.

Interestingly, Minister Matiripala Sirisena who sent letters calling for bodhi poojas and other religious activities to be organized to invoke blessings on the President had also not made any arrangements to organize such an event.
