Issuing Bogus job applications before elections not over

It is well to recall that at the previous elections, especially provincial Council elections, thousands and thousands of job applications were collected by ruling party candidates just before elections on the promise that the applicants will be given jobs after the candidate wins. Later, these collected application forms were picked up from the garbage bins of these candidates after the elections were over.

This time, a co ordinating secretary of a Govt.  Politico has issued appointment letters to some youths to work as Library assistants by forging the signature of Uva province Education Ministry Secretary Sumith Suraweera.

 

Police are conducting investigations.
