Northern areas to experience effects of cyclone ‘Laila’

The Meteorology Department stated that North and Eastern areas will experience frequent showers, strong winds and rough weather conditions due to cyclone ‘Laila’ intensifying in the Bay of Bengal.

 

 

Meanwhile fairly strong winds will continue to prevail over the country and occasional showers are expected in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
